The Business Problem
Managing stock across physical warehouses and Shopify manually led to severe inventory discrepancies, frequent overselling during product drop campaigns, delayed order fulfillment, and repetitive manual data entry.
Architecture & Engineering Solution
Designed an asynchronous, webhook-driven integration service. When orders occur in Shopify, validated webhooks trigger background workers that deduplicate events via idempotency keys, translate schemas, and create sales orders in Odoo. Inventory adjustments in Odoo automatically trigger batch GraphQL mutations to sync Shopify location quantities.
